Rod snaps over sell-out claims

Rod snapped at reporters in Chicago when they pointed out he had taken some flak for abandoning his rock ‘n’ roll roots to record his albums of jazz and pop covers, and asked if he was concerned about the backlash,
Rod’s responce was ‘F*** ’em’ he continued ‘Well obviously one cares, I haven’t witnessed a backlash, my last three or four albums have sold extremely well, where’s the backlash?’
‘I ask you my friend, I mean, if they did’nt sell, that would be a backlash and I would be there with egg on my face, because it was a tremendous risk doing these albums.’-
Rod’s third ‘Songbook’ album is due out in October.
