The 10th annual gala which raises funds to fight leukaemia will be held in Leipzig, Germany on December 16th and will be broadcast live on the German MDR TV networks from 8.15pm.
Other artists slated to appear along side Rod are Chris De Burgh, Eric Burdon and a host of German tv personalities.
More than 2000 telephonists will take donations during the ‘Children In Need’ (UK) style transmission.
Earlier in the week on Saturday December 11th Rod will be in Nuernburg, Germany. He will appear along with Kylie Minogue, Brian May, Roger Taylor and Robbie Williams on the Wetten Dass fundraising show Bets That… presented by Thomas Gottschalk.
The show will be broadcast live on the German ZDF TV network from 8.15pm.
