Rod’s Builds His Own Supporters Club.

…but it’s only two inches high!

Football mad rocker Rod Stewart has built his
own Celtic supporters club – complete with
smashed windows.
The club is a model based on venues the star
has visited on football trips to Glasgow.
It sits on a giant model railway which the singer
has painstakingly handcrafted in his LA mansion.

Rod, 59, said: ‘There’s a great pub that I built
called the Celtic Supporters Club. It’s got smashed
windows.
‘The railway is something I don’t usually talk about
because people just don’t understand it.
‘It’s a scale model railroad. And I don’t play with it,
I build it – every little rivet on every little train.
‘It’s about 100ft by 50ft and it’s all computerised.
I can run 30 trains at a time.’

Stewart has been one of Celtic’s most famous
supporters for years and is a regular visitor to
Celtic Park. The singer also paid more than
£25,000 to ensure he was at last year’s Scottish Cup
final between Celtic and Dunfermline at Hampden.
He hired a private jet to get him there from the
south of France.

Tommy Dornan, of the Celtic Supporters Club, is
delighted the star has opened up his own ‘pub’.

He said: ‘I’m sure he will be inviting all the club
officials along for a drink – I’m sure he can well afford it.’

Celtic FC said: ‘We are sure this will be another great
track from Rod and we are delighted he is keeping Celtic
close to his heart.’
