Following Rod’s No. 4 entry on the UK albums charts two weeks ago on sales of 51,484, ‘Still The Same’ has now been awarded a Gold disc in recognition of sales in excess of 100,000. This week the album slips down the charts from last weeks No. 6 to No. 16.
Meanwhile, Rod’s 1989 compilation ‘The Best Of Rod Stewart’ recently re-entered the Top 75 following an absence of several years. Its four weeks on the charts this year bring its total chart tally to 131 weeks. Also currently on the charts is the 2001 hits compilation ‘The Story So Far’ which has now clocked up 51 weeks inside the Top 75.
In the two weeks following his appearance on X Factor, Rod was the only artist to have three albums on the UK Top 75.
Over in the DVD listings Rod’s 2004 Albert Hall show moves up to this weeks No. 7.
