Jimmy, Jimmy…

The latest news on Rod’s ex-saxman Jimmy Roberts.

With numerous projects on the horizon, and a fresh start with a soulful inspirational jazz sax single (For We Are Never Alone), Jimmy Roberts rolls again with his second release for Indie label Soul Tone Records “For We Are Never Alone”.

Veteran saxman Jimmy Roberts is also re-establishing the love he shared with thousands that recall his glory days of the 80’s, 90’s into early 2000 when that R&B / Rocking Tenor sax help lay the foundation for legendary crooner Rod Stewart. His powerful tenor sound continues to move crowds during European, Canadian, Japanese tours and Jazz Festivals around the globe.

Jimmy sustains his level of success and solo career by connecting with several local California based and nationally recognized musicians, gracing the stage with Etta James, The Eurythmics, Pianist Rob Mullins, R&B Singer Derek Bordeaux, Sade, Randy Jacobs, David Benoit, Greg Karukas and the group Big Advice, just to name a few.

While maintaining a busy schedule touring the country with the enchanting Carly Simon, Rick Braun and others, Jimmy still involves himself with studio work, writing and producing soundtracks, and motivational CD’s.

With subsequent releases, “Bless My Soul” on his label Soul Tone Records, “Sugar and Spice” (a Roberts Brothers project) for the BDM label, Jimmy remains focused on the art of creating music that is not only soulful but music that comes from the heart and makes listeners conscious of their spiritual need.

A native of Suffolk, Virginia, Jimmy resides in Southern California and is very active in the music scene. His latest release gives clear and present demonstration of Jimmy’s ability as a composer, lyricist and performer as he delivers the spiritual sounds of love, joy and peace found on “We Are Never Alone.” Visit jimmy at https://www.jimmyroberts.net
