Rod celebrated his 70th birthday over the weekend at his home, and his former Faces bandmates Ronnie Wood and Kenney Jones were there. and they even played a couple of songs together.
The full party report will soon be published in Hello!
Penny threw the party for Rod at their Beverly Hills home. The bash featured a β40s theme, the decade of Rod’s birth. In addition to a performance by the Glenn Miller Orchestra β which includes more than a dozen and a half members but not the famed big-band leader, who died the year before Rod was born β Rod joined in and sang some songs from the era.
He then performed a couple of songs together with Kenney Jones and Ronnie Wood as a tribute to Ian McLagan.
Kenney wrote about the night on his Facebook page earlier this week, telling followers, βGreat night and played with my mates Rod and Woody. Only two songs but it was fun.β
