But It Is Difficult On One Leg!

Save-on-Foods Memorial Center Victoria BC Oct 30th 2018 Review By Debbie MacDonald

A local bagpipe group performed on the arena floor while fans were taking their seats, and Rod appeared with a foot brace on his right foot telling the 5,700 strong crowd ā€œI’ll do my best to rock for you tonight, but it is difficult on one leg.ā€ I thought the show was good, mostly. The set was great and the songs were great. Rods voice has been better but that I can live with as the man’s been singing a long time (polite way of saying he’s getting up there lol). What I was really disappointed about was the length of the show. It was only 90 minutes. It’s the shortest show I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to a lot. He could have altered this by simply having a back up band ( It wouldn’t have been Rod but it would’ve been something). I saw in other countries he had Cyndi Lauper but not in Canada. The face value of our ticket was $199 apiece. I don’t mind spending $400 for two people to see someone but not for just 90 minutes. That was disappointing. If we knew that ahead of time would we have spent the money and went anyway? For $400 probably not.
