Hila Lazovski is one of Israelās bright talents Having studied Software Engineering and worked as a web designer, she followed her passion and switched to art,
Hila blew us away with her amazing one-of-a-kind portrait of Rod that is made of 61,102 Swarovski Ā® crystals that were added to a stunning photograph by Iain Reid.
Talking to SMILER today Hila said “Rod Stewart was always an iconic singer for me, as a kid who grew up in the 80’s, he had a significant part in my playlist
In Summer 2017 Rod had a concert in Tel-Aviv, so about 6 months earlier I started to work on this piece. I contacted a photographer named Iain Reid, and got his permission to use a photo he took during one of Rod’s concerts (I think it was taken in London, not sure) The original plan was to meet Rod face to face and give him personally this piece. I already closed all the details with the producers and his team, but they cancelled last minute”

Hila also gave us some information about the work of art telling us it is made of 61,102 Swarovski Ā® crystals, each 1.7mm in size, and in 57 different colors. The process of creating this piece took about 3.5 months. Each crystal was applied manually on a blank canvas.
