Rod wants Strach Back

And thinks Covid played major factor in derailing 10 In A Row

Rod phoned in talkSPORT today as they discussed the story about Celtic manager Neil Lennon’s resignation and said he would like to see his mate Gordon Strachan back in charge

Rod said “I was going to give Pep a ring this afternoon! I would love to see Gordon back in there but I don’t think the fans would want it, it might be going backwards, My money would be on Steve Clarke. He’s done well for Scotland and turned Kilmarnock around, he’d do the job wonderfully well”.

But Rod was still optimistic about Celtic’s future adding “I totally disagree with the way some of the Green Brigade have acted outside Celtic Park. We’re all very unhappy but we’ll be back next season, I just know it…We’ll probably beat Rangers two times in the next Old Firm games!”

And he also said he thought Covid played an major factor in derailing 10 In A Row and costing Lennon his job “Take nothing away from Rangers, they’ve been absolutely superb this year but we certainly have not been helped by Covid, If you take the first Old Firm game, we had five players out with Covid and then we had two draws because of Covid. It’s somewhat of an excuse but it’s just a terrible season”.
