Lisbon Lion

Rod left a touching note and laid flowers at the funeral of Lisbon Lion Bertie Auld last Friday, Many mourners gathered at Celtic Park to honour the life of Bertie, who passed away earlier this month.
Back in the summer it was revealed that Bertie, who won the European Cup in 1967 and 14 other trophies in his two spells with the club, had been diagnosed with dementia.
Rod had a wreath made up with a hand-written note paying tribute to the club legend. The note read: “Rest in peace my friend Bertie. Lion of lions. Sir Roderick Stewart CBE.”
