Becca’s Football Injury

Members watching the video clips coming out of Vegas might be wondering why Becca Kotte was sat at the back , on Wednesday Becca explained to her Instagram followers …
The last few performances have looked a little different for me, as I’m nearing the end of recovery from having one of my sesamoid bones removed. who knew a tiny fracture in a bone smaller than a pea could cause so much f*cking pain!!! so now instead of being the spaz behind a mic stand, i’m the spaz with a tambourine (and i have the bruises to prove it 🥴🤗).
It’s a pretty fun perspective getting to sit back and watch @sirrodstewart and the rest of the band (that Rod… he’s really going places you guys… get that man a record deal, amiright) but i can’t wait to be running around again!

Rod joked that Becca was suffering from a football injury and would only be getting half wages!
Photos and our main photo thanks to Donna Stackhouse.
And while I remember..watch for some great contributions from the Becca, Amanda and Holly in Issue 101 of SMILER coming soon.

Six Tour Date Changes
Rod’s management released a statement regarding six date changes this week..

Due to production delays, the upcoming Rod Stewart tour will have to reschedule six shows at the start of the 2022 North American summer run. While this delays the tour’s start, it has also opened new routing in 2023 including a coast to coast Canadian tour.
Stewart’s June 2022 shows in Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego, Phoenix and Denver will move to 2023, with the exception of the Hollywood Bowl on 6/14 and Santa Barbara Bowl on 6/18, as they are not impacted by the production issues. The rescheduled dates will be joined in 2023 by five of Stewart’s 2022 post Labor Day concerts, including Pittsburgh, Montreal, Ottawa, Saskatoon and Edmonton.
All dates from July 1, 2022 in Dallas through September 3, 2022 in Tampa are not affected and will play as scheduled. Stewart, who kicked-off a run of his hit Las Vegas residency on May 13, is excited to be back on the road and performing for his fans again, and has planned one of the most dynamic tours of his career.

And Finally…

This week SMILER was involved in an Instagram scam, where one of our brilliant Vegas review montages was used by someone posing as Sir Rod Stewart Official Fan Club and asking for Charity contributions, We along with The Real Friends Of Rod Stewart group have been warning our members about this site and others for months now but despite the warnings they still managed to get over 250k followers as they were using the official word.

Thanks to some great work by Brian Gibson and Martin Heidt the site has now gone, but please be aware they will probably be back with a new name, we have also had members emailing us to ask if the personal message Rod sent them was actually from Rod..I promise you Rod will NEVER pm any member in the name of SMILER .
Stay safe and vigilant and we will see you next week.
