This weeks Rod Art
This week we feature Wayne Wright from Birmingham who paints life like portraits using only spilt cold coffee, a brush and a canvas.
Wayne, has raised hundreds of pounds for charity through his unique art work – which has become popular across the globe.
His latest coffee artwork is this amazing recent image of Rod, but it was thanks to Wayne’s daughter and the BBC show Peaky Blinders that the coffee art took off.

Wayne had not done any painting for 30 years, but had told his daughter that he was good at art , so she challenged him to give it another go, as he had no paint Wayne just used coffee, his first ever piece was of Tommy Shelby and he posted it on the Peaky Blinders Facebook page and Wayne’s new hobby was born,
Within days wayne had sold three paintings and another painting of Doreen Tipton went on display at Wolverhampton Art Gallery.

R.I.P. Jeff Beck
The week had a really sad ending when it was announced that Jeff Beck had died, the news was confirmed on his official Twitter page.
‘On behalf of his family, it is with deep and profound sadness that we share the news of Jeff Beck’s passing. After suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis, he peacefully passed away yesterday. His family ask for privacy while they process this tremendous loss’.

Rod and Ronnie Wood led the heartfelt tributes Ronnie posted
‘Now Jeff has gone, I feel like one of my band of brothers has left this world, and I’m going to dearly miss him. I’m sending much sympathy to Sandra, his family, and all who loved him. I want to thank him for all our early days together in the Jeff Beck Group, conquering America for the first time. Musically, we were breaking all the rules, it was fantastic, groundbreaking rock ’n’ roll! Listen to the incredible track ‘Plynth’ in his honour. Jeff, I will always love you. God bless’ 🙏❤️
Rod posted ‘Jeff Beck was on another planet. He took me and Ronnie Wood to the USA in the late 60s in his band the Jeff Beck Group and we haven’t looked back since . He was one of the few guitarists that when playing live would actually listen to me sing and respond. Jeff, you were the greatest, my man. Thank you for everything. RIP‘
Kenney Jones added ‘Jeff Beck – what can I say. The world has lost yet another icon and anyone that knew him has lost a great friend. He was and will continue to be an inspiration to many and I hope he’ll live on through his music for many many years to come. My thoughts go out to Sandra and the rest of Jeff’s family. Rest in peace Jeff, you will be so missed’
Rod on VAR panel?
Ally McCoist has joked that he’s contacted the SFA over a new VAR officiating team for Celtic games. The Rangers legend accused Celtic defender Alistair Johnston of ‘paranoia’ last week following his comments after the recent Old Firm clash. The Hoops felt aggrieved that they weren’t awarded a penalty in the 2-2 draw at Ibrox and Johnston claimed ref Steven McLean’s decision ‘didn’t feel right’.

Ally hit back at Johnston on BT Sport’s Scottish Football Extra last Friday, and he sarcastically claimed there was a ‘conspiracy’ against the Parkhead club. His comments went viral but he’s laughed them off and joked about forming a three-man VAR team for Celtic fixtures – saying
“Anyway the good news is that the problem is solved. I’ve had a word with Ian Maxwell at the SFA and he’s agreed for Celtic games, we are going to have Chris (Sutton), Jason Bourne and Rod Stewart doing the VAR.
“We’ll have Chris, Sir Rod and Jason Bourne – how does that sound.”
And Finally…Rod’s net worth
Rod has an estimated net worth of $300million or just under £250million according to Celebrity Net Worth.

His fortune has been made from a 60-year singing career, which has seen him sell more than 120 million albums worldwide, making him one of the best-selling musicians in world history.
See you next week
