Rod’s fans got a chance to try Wolfie’s Blended Whisky before the Edinburgh Castle show on Thursday, SMILER sent our roving reporter Jan Kittelsen along to try a dram
By the time I got to the Pear Tree pub in Edinburgh, a bit before 5pm there was already a lot of people there.

Emma from Wolfie’s Whiskey had full control and the whisky was already poured and a lot of glasses waited to be tasted. At 5 o clock the place was filling up very fast by more thirsty guests and the tasting was about to begin.
The super friendly Wolfie’s crew Duncan and Emma made everybody feel warmly welcome and distributed the whisky to the thirsty and eager guests as fast as they could.

Also there was a great gift of a Wolfie’s poster to the first fifity fans who showed their tickets.

As I am from Norway the Scottish accent can be a bit hard sometimes to grasp for me, but Duncan turned out to be a first class talker of Swedish, thus bridging the language gap between us. The public who had turned up included many SMILER members and was almost like an international conference. of the few I talked with there were people from Germany, Italy, Norway and of course England and Scotland. As for the whisky, judging by the tempo it was consumed I am sure everyone including myself thought it was very good!.
