The Argentinian chapter of Rod Stewart fans
Rod has a very strong following in Argentina but one one group of fans always go the extra mile in the name of Rod..
SMILER spoke to Adriana D’Eramo this week who told us “I have loved Rod Stewart for 47 years and when he visited Argentina in 2018 I had the good fortune to fulfill my most cherished dream, to meet him personally thanks to a āMeet and Greetā. I went to all the shows that were in my country, including the two Gala Dinners”
The group are called FOREVER YOUNG FRIENDS UNITED BY ROD STEWART GROUP
They are made up of Adriana, Brian, Carolina, Juana, Marta, Paula, Silvia and Teresa.
Adriana told SMILER “In October 2022 I joined the Instagram and Facebook social networks, joining the ROD STEWART ARGENTINA FC Group. In the latter, I met wonderful people. We, FOREVER YOUNG FRIENDS UNITED BY ROD STEWART.
We designed the flags and shirts with the colors of the club he loves so much. And on October 3rd, we went to receive him at the hotel where he was staying with all the honors. We saw him from very close and he asked all the fans who were there at that time what we had to sign. And the next day we enjoyed the most beautiful show that we will treasure in our hearts forever.”

In a pre-recorded message on Sound of the 70s that Johnnie Walker was hosting for the final time on BBC Radio this Sunday Rod praised the veteran DJ for helping the careers of many rock bands.
Rod said āI have to thank you my man, thank you from the bottom of my heart for playing not only my songs, but The Faces and just about every other rock band in the world on your wonderful show over the years.
āBy doing so you propelled the careers of a bunch of unknown layabouts to the top of the charts and overnight fame and everything that goes with it. It goes without saying, without your support we never may have got there. So, if I do manage to get through the Pearly Gates, Iāll have a pint of Guinness please mate and guess what, Iāll pick up the tab. See ya later, Johnnie. Rock on mate, rock on.ā

“We celebrated our birthdays and without telling any member I invited our coordinators of the Facebook group Rod Stewart Argentina FC. Adriana Altamirano and Daniel Marra who are personal friends of Rod.
And two hours after being together my guests arrived, and after hugging us, Adriana shared a bottle of Wolfie’s with the whole group to taste. We are very grateful for the extraordinary and fabulous gesture she had for us. Since it has not yet arrived in Argentina.
There are so many happy, unique and unforgettable moments with many anecdotes that I will continue to tell you through Mike who provided this unique opportunity so that those who do not know us can do so. I hope that ROD STEWART and Wolfie’s Whisky are proud of the campaign that we are carrying out in Argentina.
