This week Rod enjoys his most successful week ever on the USA album charts holding down no fewer than three spots in the Billboard Top 200 after selling 245,956 albums! Rod is at positions 2, 43 and 125.
At No. 2 Rod enjoys his joint highest-ever new entry with the second volume of ‘The Great American Songbook’. Final sales of the album total 212,384 units. The first volume released a year ago is this week at No. 43 with sales of 23,491. Finally, ‘The Voice: The Very Best of Rod Stewart’ is a re-entry at No. 125 after selling 10,081 units.
‘The Great American Songbook Volume II’ has also entered the Canadian charts at No. 2 and looks set to have a strong debut on the Australian chart next week. According to HMV’s midweek chart, it should land in the Top 10. The Australian version of the album features ‘My Heart Stood Still’ a duet with Australia’s Wendy Matthews.
On Sunday, ‘The Story So Far’ looks set to re-enter the UK charts joining ‘The Great American Songbook Volume II’ and ‘The Very Best Of Rod Stewart & The Faces’ to give Rod a hat-track of albums on both sideds of the Atlantic.
