Long John Baldry’s two landmark albums ‘It Ain’t Easy (1971) and ‘Everything Stops For Tea’ (1972) are about to be reissued on CD.

‘It Ain’t Easy’ includes the bonus of a previously un-released version of Robert Johnson’s ‘Love In Vain’ as well as Baldry’s version of the Faces ‘Flying’. Side one of the album was produced by Rod and side two by Elton John. Amongst the line up of musicians are Ronnie Wood, Sam Mitchell, Maggie Bell and Ray Jackson, all whom went on to feature on Rod’s breakthrough album ‘Every Picture Tells A Story’.

‘Everything Stops for Tea’ is once again produced by Rod and Elton John with Rod doing the honours on side two. Rod also sings and plays banjo on the track ‘Mother Ain’t Dead’. The album was recorded in January and February 1972 at Morgan Studios, England where Rod recorded many of his classic Mercury albums.

The albums will be released by Warner Brothers in England as a double CD later in the year.
