Today Rod officially announced the release of his 30th studio album Blood Red Roses, to be issued worldwide by Decca and Republic Records on 28 September. It will be available as both a 13-track standard and 16-track digital release.
Rod previewed his first single from the album on The Chris Evans show on BBC Radio 2 The single âDidnât I,â described as a song âabout the damage drugs can do from a parentâs point of view.â and the track also features Rod’s band member Bridget Cady.
Rod also promised Chris Evans he would return to the show on Friday September 28th to perform live in the studio.
Blood Red Roses is produced by longtime collaborator Kevin Savigar, contains Rodâs own new songs and three covers. âI always think I make albums for a few friends and this record has that intimacy,â says Stewart. âSincerity and honesty go a long way in life and the same is true in songwriting.â
The album is released on 28 September 2018.
