Danni Assemakis is a Tattoo artist and award winning airbrush artist based in Newquay, Cornwall.
She has been airbrushing since 2013 and tattooing since 2017. Danni says she absolutely loves her job and hopes that comes across in her work.
Danni’s latest work of art is this fantastic life like airbrush of Rod and country legend Johnny Cash
Danni told SMILER today “I was commissioned to do a painting of Rod and Johnny together by a lovely Cornish chap who wanted to surprise his wife for her birthday. She’s a big fan of both music legends. At first I thought it was kind of an odd combination but I think it works well together. I wonder if they ever met?”
We asked Danni how long a masterpiece like this would take to complete
“It’s hard to say how long it took me to do for a few reasons. I’m adhd which means I’m basically time blind when I get locked into a painting. Doing it over lockdown meant I had to try and work on it in between home schooling my daughter, juggling chores and walking the dogs. I think it probably took around three days”.
