Scottish Radio Holdings have given Smiler details of the rare archive recordings by Rod Stewart to be released later this year. We can exclusively reveal that the recordings in question are two Glasgow concerts from the eighties.

Rod’s Ibrox Stadium concert recorded on 18 June 1983 and a concert recorded at the Scottish Exhibition Centre on 1 July 1986 will be released in full later this year.

Included in the sets are rare live versions of ‘Dancin’ Alone’, ‘Sweet Surrender’, ‘What Am I Gonna Do’ and ‘In My Own Crazy Way’, as well as the Glasgow masses singing along with the likes of ‘Sailing’ and ‘I Don’t Want To Talk About it’.
