The industry-wide guessing game is now over as Clive Davis, Chairman and CEO of J Records, announces that worldwide superstar Rod Stewart has found a new home at the label. But get ready for a Rod Stewart you’ve never heard before.

The artist whose legendary voice launched a massive number of rock n’ roll hits has something completely different up his sleeve. Stewart has come up with an extraordinarily intriguing concept that shows his incredible versatility, and Davis was immediately responsive. Stewart has already begun recording the first album, which is expected for release in October.

“The soundtrack to our lives would be totally incomplete without Rod Stewart. I am thrilled to welcome him to J Records and to begin working with him on an album that will show his one of a kind vocal talent like no one has heard him before,” says Clive Davis.

Rod Stewart comments, “Clive Davis is the man and J Records is definitely the place to be – there’s no doubt in my mind.”

Arnold Stiefel, longtime manager of Rod Stewart, comments, “Finally these two legends have a chance to work together and to dazzle us all with their vision! I’m confident that Rod’s new project is in the hands of the best.”

Fresh off a sold out tour in Australia and Europe, Rod Stewart is currently celebrating the success of his new greatest hits CD The Story So Far that’s already sold over 2 1/2 million units worldwide. His catalog of hits – many of them written and composed by Stewart himself- includes lifetime anthems such as “Maggie May,” “Tonight’s the Night,” “You Wear It Well,” “Every Picture Tells A Story,” “You’re In My Heart,” “Stay With Me,” “Downtown Train,” “Forever Young,” “Infatuation” and many more.
