Rod Closes Festival With Flow Of Old Hits

Rod Stewart left the cutting edge of rock and roll 30 years ago but showed he can still entertain a big crowd.

The living proof that blondes have more fun closed the festival on the Pyramid Stage with an undemanding flow of old hits.

Starting with Handbags And Gladrags, the famous husky voice followed with First Cut Is The Deepest, Some Guys Have All The Luck and Maggie May.

Rod took off his white jacket and yellow tie then kicked footballs into the audience with the skill of a Scottish World Cup footballer.

Wiggling his hips and undoing the shirt proved unwise for a 57-year-old but Sailing provided a suitable sing-along finale.
