The Stereophonics, currently in the UK singles charts with ‘Handbags And Gladrags’ and back at No. 1 in the albums charts as a result, have been invited to play the Brit Awards performing ‘Handbags And Gladrags’ with Rod. According to The Sun newspaper, however, they are not keen to appear on the show as they were originally left out of this years event. Meanwhile, Rod’s hits collection – which ironically does not feature ‘Handbags And Gladrags’ – has slipped down the UK charts to No. 37.
