Well I have to say, I have been to three Rod concerts now, Two in Liverpool and one in Blackpool 20-06-2014 and Blackpool was by far the best.
I went with my Auntie Stella who has never seen Rod before and she loved every minute. The atmosphere was electric the people we met from all over Britain were fabulous.
The crowd did a perfect Mexican wave that added to the atmosphere and Rod showed his great sense of humour at one point calling the Irish Sea an ocean!
I thought the set list was fab from Maggie May to Sailing, I Don’t want to talk about it to Hot Legs and Rod asking us to take a seat for his songs from Time with Brighton Beach. Infatuation was dropped from tonight’s set and It’s a Heartache was added.
Rod took time to mention the D-day dinner he had at his house and a special mention must go to the Warrington BSL Signing Choir who were amazing signing along to Sailing.. wow!
When Rod brought his old Faces mic out for Stay With Me he threw it up on nearly knocking the set down and just missing knocking his own teeth out as ever he just laughed and carried on this amazing night ended with Rod lighting up Blackpool with a truly amazing fire work display …can’t wait for next time I go.
