Célébrations Lévis 2011 is proud to announce that legendary rock icon, Rod Stewart, will be performing live at the Lévis Convention and Exhibition Centre on Saturday, July 30, 2011. This free show will kick-off the intense festivity weekend of “Célébrons Lévis 2011, présenté par Ultramar et Desjardins”, on July 28, 29 and 30, 2011!
On the fringe of Lévis’ triple anniversary, the City of Lévis is proud to welcome Rod Stewart, one of the music industry’s most acclaimed and successful singers, songwriters and performers. Stewart’s exclusive show for Célébrations Lévis 2011 will feature the greatest hits from of his remarkable five-decade-long career including, “Maggie May,” “Tonight’s the Night,” “Hot Legs,” “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?,” “Forever Young,” “Rhythm of My Heart,” and many more.
July 28-29, 2011 Events
On July 28, come and watch a unique, truly epic show entitled Terre de Héros.
More than your run-of-the-mill outdoor event, Terre de Héros is a real journey, a tribute to our city and to all of those who have shaped it: heroes of yesteryears, and modern heroes, too! Many well-known performers from a wide variety of performing arts — music, singing, dancing and circus arts — come together with some 150 extras and local groups for this show. Multimedia projections and pyrotechnics will highlight key moments of this evening.
As for July 29, everyone is invited to Lévis Danse, a major musical and dancing event! Be there to see the night light up! Feel the excitement as the DJ’s rhythms fill the air, and be amazed at the fascinating images of the VJ (video-jockey). This party will light up the sky in Lévis, offering you a supercharged evening. And for some really magical moments, look out for entertainers, dancers, fire-eaters and manipulators as they take the stage.
Finally, the great Ameublements Tanguay – Desjardins musical firework is back! Shining from Lévis’ highest point, near the Lévis Convention and Exhibition Centre, this is a must-see! It will be the biggest firework ever shown in town!
