Rod to be inducted onto The Brighton Music Walk Of Fame

A permanent and free tribute to music greats

Rod has been named as one of the artists to be inducted into ‘THE BRIGHTON MUSIC WALK OF FAME’ which will mark the city’s rich musical history.

‘THE BRIGHTON MUSIC WALK OF FAME’ will be a permanent and free tribute to the many musicians, artists, composers and DJs closely associated with the city and wider Sussex from the early Sixties to present day.

David Courtney, chief executive of Walk of Fame Ltd,Told SMILER today “Rod has been inducted into The Brighton music walk of fame which pays tribute to the many famous musicians and artists closely associated with the city and Sussex and will be established as a permanent attraction on the iconic Brighton Palace Pier.Rod’s music career like ‘The Who’ and ‘Jeff Beck’ began at ‘The Florida Rooms’ music venue which was located in the ‘Brighton Aquarium’ back in the early sixties. Rod’s song Brighton Beach reflects on those years”.

The launch of ‘THE BRIGHTON MUSIC WALK OF FAME’ will take place at Horatio’s Bar on the pier on September 14th attended by inductees and media.
