A television advertising campaign across ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and multi channels to promote FHM magazine’s “10 years of 100 Sexiest Women in the World” is about to get underway. The advertisement creative features an art gallery exhibition of famous FHM models from the past decade with a voice over from art critic Brian Sewell.
The event is also to be marked with FHM producing its own CD – a cover of Rod’s ‘Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?’ Funds raised from the release will go to the charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Rod’s version hit No. 1 on both sides of the Atlantic in 1978, whilst a version by N-Trance in 1997 made No. 7 in the UK. Indie band the Revolting Cocks also had a minor UK hit with the song during the early nineties. The new version, released on 21 June, is expected to hit the higher reaches of the UK charts.
FHM are running a £1.2 million campaign in total marketing campaign to support the anniversary of the launch of the promotion which will also include national radio and press.
The 10th anniversary will be marked with a 56 page publication featuring the 50 sexiest women of the decade and a poster of the 500 sexiest women in the world.
Rankings have been set according to the votes of FHM readers over the past 10 years.
