The the top debut on next week’s Billboard chart will be ‘As Time Goes By…The Great American Songbook: Volume II’, which at this point is on track to move about 150,000 copies in its first week. But don’t forget, Rod is on Oprah today, and Oprah sells records! So that number could increase substantially.
The current Billboard No. 1 is Clay Aiken’s ‘Measure Of A Man’ and is selling very well and should hold on to the No. 1 spot for a second week. However, if Rod’s appearance on Oprah can push his sales through the 200,000 barrier it looks certain he will debut’ at No. 2.
‘It Had To Be You…The Great American Songbook Volume I’ made its debut at No. 4, whilst Rod’s highest new entry ever was 1993’s ‘Unplugged… and seated’.
