The prizes for the 2016 Tartan party in October have started to arrive including one of two fantastic smudge paintings that have been very kindly donated by Cumbrian artist Ray Guselli and put on a large canvas.
Ray has a real talent making these paintings look so life like, when the first painting was dropped off at Rod’s house for signing last week he wanted to keep hold of it so Penny could see it and also sign it, he remembered the original was taken at the first anniversary gala performance of the popular musical Once at the Phoenix Theatre.and thought it was funny that the photograph made his arm look long…so he included a reference to it in the signature!
Rod also sent a signed unplayed copy of his single ‘That’s What Friends Are For’ that was never released in the UK and was donated by Jean Garoghan
All this years prizes will help raise funds for The Teenage Cancer Trust.
