Tears In Heaven’ has been released by Sharon Osbourne to raise funds for Save the Children’s vital work with children affected by emergencies throughout the world, notably survivors of the tsunami and Hurricane Katrina.
The unforgettable Eric Clapton classic, written in 1991 following the death of his son, has been re-recorded by an extraordinary cast of vocalists including Elton John, Mary J. Blige, Rod Stewart, Gwen Stefani, Katie Melua, Andrea Bocelli, Phil Collins, Robert Downey Jr and Pink. The track also brings together rock legends Steven Tyler, Gavin Rossdale, Velvet Revolver and – of course – Kelly and Ozzy Osbourne.
‘Tears In Heaven’ is available exclusively as a digital download from 7digital.com, who have pledged the entire download fee to Save the Children. Sony BMG have also donated to this project by bearing all recording and production costs for the track.
