After Saturday’s Celtic’s 3-1 win against St Johnstone Rod posted a photo taken on a balcony overlooking Singapore. He wrote: “A Celtic win in Singapore.”

Meanwhile Penny was in Dublin on a birthday weekend and watched Ireland secur back-to-back Six Nations titles for just the third time in their history as Andy Farrell’s side eventually saw off a stubborn Scotland 17-13 at the Aviva Stadium.

Tries from hooker Dan Sheehan and loosehead prop Andrew Porter, added to by seven points via the boot of Jack Crowley saw Ireland to victory, with Finn Russell notching two penalties in response for Scotland, and Huw Jones a late try.

higashiazabu.rockcity gave us their thoughts about the concert
On March 20, I went to Ariake Arena for the final show of ROD STEWART’s Asia tour “ONE LAST TIME”🎙
The venue was packed with ROD fans from all over Japan😉
The show started almost on time and lasted for 2 hours, “the time of dream”.
The setlist was one of the best I have seen in the past few years in the US/UK☺️
The audience response was amazing and the chorus was loud and clear many times♫
The biggest surprise was to hear “Passion” for the first time in a while. It’s so cool😆
For the encore, he sang “Sailing” followed by “Sweet Little Rock’n’Roller”🎸
According to the band member’s instagram, they had dinner at “NOBU TOKYO”, and I hope the stay in Japan was a good memory for them.

Somebody Special

On Sunday it was announced that Steve Harley, the frontman of the British rock group Cockney Rebel, had died aged 73.
Rod led the tributes to his friend saying to PA News Agency: “Absolutely devastated, words fail me.
“The Cockney Rebel has left us. Loved you and admired you Steve and always will. Sir Rod Stewart.”
Rod covered the superb Harley/Cregan song ‘A Friend For Life’ on his 2015 album Another Country
Steve originally offered the song to Rod 2000. But Rod declined to record the song at the time.
In 1980 Steve co wrote ‘Somebody Special’ with Rod for the album Foolish Behaviour.
Steve was also a good friend of SMILER often meeting up with team members at his excellent concerts and genuinely enjoyed reading our magazine…Steve truly was Somebody Special.
