The Perfect Companion
Great quote from Rod this week..The perfect companion on a nice, easy weekend. Buy your bottle now – I’ve kissed most of them…

Have you got a kissed bottle of Wolfie’s?..Or maybe you have found a signed one at your Tesco store?
When in Glasgow
Great start to the weekend for Rod who was joined by his sons Alastair and Aiden,on Saturday while cheering on Celtic during their 3-0 victory against St Mirren
Before the match Rod called in Kelvingrove Café in Argyle Street for some Wolfie’s whisky with Wolfie’s partner Duncan Frew and Johnny Mac

Rod later visited the Radisson RED hotel at Finnieston Quay and met Ricardo – who works at the venue.

Rod would have been even hapier on Sunday when the Rangers score came in

Ross County 3

Rangers 2
To leave Celtic 4 points clear in the title race.n He later told talkSPORT “I was stunned,”
“I watched the whole match and obviously wanted Rangers to come unstuck, but I never dreamt in a million years that they would. They looked very lethargic.
“Mind you, it’s not ever yet. We’ve got to play Hearts, we’ve got to play Kilmarnock and they’ve caused us trouble. But I really didn’t expect them to come unstuck.
“But it can all turn around. There’s only three points in it. Goal difference is pretty good now but anything can happen. Hearts have given us problems and they will again. Hopefully they give Rangers problems on Sunday!”
Stay With Me
On Friday, April 12, Ronnie Wood joined The Black Crowes for a rendition of the Faces classic Stay With Me.

Chris Robinson introduced Ronnie early in the set at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles following the band’s new song “Cross Your Fingers,” from their latest album, Happiness Bastards, as a man who “doesn’t need an introduction but he’s going to get one.”

As well as Stay With Me The Black Crowes have previously covered several Faces songs, including Glad and Sorry and You’re So Rude with late Faces keyboardist Ian McLagan during their concert in Austin in 2010.

One reply on “This week’s news and gossip”
Great to see Ronnie on stage, happy and healthy. The Crowes are a gritty old school rock and roll band. Another fine update Mike, thanks to the team on the new issue of Smiler. Look forward to it. JD
