Liam and Nicole’s Wedding
The Stewart clan ended the week in in Dubrovnik, Croatia for the wedding of Liam Stewart and Nicole Artukovich
Festivities kicked off on Thursday as the bride and groom hosted a stunning seaside cocktail celebration at the Hotel Excelsior Dubrovnik. Liam reposted photos from the event on his Instagram Stories including a smiling photo with Rod, captured by his sister Ruby .
The wedding took place at the St. Ignatius Church in a ceremony surrounded by the couples loved ones including 1-year-old son Louie.
Guests included Rod and Penny as well as Liam’s mum, Rachel Hunter, Liam’s seven siblings — including sisters Sarah, Kimberly, Ruby, Renee and brothers Sean, Alastair and Aiden — were also in attendance.
Following the couple’s nuptials, they were escorted down a set of steps by a bagpiper as guests tossed flower petals. A reception followed with long tables set in a stone corridor and live music.
Nicole wore a strapless gown with lace detail and gloves while Liam opted for a white suit.
Posting a group photo Rod wrote..
“I’m immensely proud to have witness the beautiful wedding ceremony of my son Liam to his bride Nicole. What a wonderful union of The Stewart’s and The Artukovich’s.
“May they continue to find joy, love and laughter for as long as they may live and produce many more baby’s to join their little 1 year old boy, Louie. @discostew94 @nicoleartukovich.”
Ruby sang at the reception as the couple took to the floor for the first dance.
Rod’s daughter Renee also celebrated her 32nd birthday while in Dubrovnik.
And Rod also took to social media to share a hilarious moment at the bar as he purposely embarrassed his youngest son Aiden by dropping his trousers.
Sir Rod also posted a black and white version of this photo with the words In this week of D-Day remembrance my four sons and I would like to deeply thank all those who fault and died for our freedom on June 6th 1944, when more than 150,000 Allied solders invaded France to drive out the forces of Nazi Germany. #dday80thanniversary

This week we feature the work of Illustrator/Artist/Painter or whatnot [His words] Michael McLaughlin who is based in Derry.
Michael painted this amazing portrait of Rod and told SMILER this week “The painting is acrylic on canvas, I’m always adding paintings of rock legends to my portfolio and I’ve been listening to a lot of the Faces lately so I guess that’s why I painted it” .

Oslo Spektrum, Norway
It was back to work for Rod on Tuesday as the tour hit Norway and SMILER photographer Marc Baulisch -Steines was at the show to bring us some superb photos
Jan Kittelsen was at the show and also got some amazing shots and told SMILER
“It was Rod’s first time in Norway since 2013. He has not played in this venue Oslo Spektrum since 1998. And even though it was a Tuesday night ..not the best night for a party the venue was sold out and the 7500 crowd was very attentive”.
“The new stage design gives a very good view from most angles. There was no Wolfie’s logo/artwork to be seen at this show, maybe due to the strict alcohol laws in Norway”.
“The show started with ‘Addicted To Love’ and closed with ‘Sailing’. And it is worth mentioning ‘Tonight I Am Yours’, ‘Passion’ and ‘People Get Ready’ were all performed tonight. Sir Rod looked to be having a good time and showed no signs of exhaustion as he gave his all. As one norwegian newspaper mentioned: ‘No one is forever young, but he is forever Rod'”
Omaha Beach
On Wednesday Rod visited Omaha Beach in Paris, France to pay his respects to all the young men who fought and died for our freedom 80 years ago.
Celebrate Fathers Day on Sunday, 16th June.
In the UEFA Euro 2024 matches Scotland will have already beaten Germany [You never know!!] on the Friday but you can still celebrate England beating Serbia [They will won’t they?] on Fathers Day with your favorite whisky
