Cleveland Browns Stadium, Ohio

Rod ended the week on Friday opening the show with a double header concert with Billy Joel at Cleveland Browns Stadium, Ohio

Rod opened the night with a ‘Hits’ set and later came back onstage to join Billy Joel for a performance of Faces ‘Stay with Me’ with Billy saying: “He’s one of my heroes.”

Roland Macher was at the show to bring us some photos

Maria Durant was also at the show

“These are the colors of a flag—the flag of Ukraine,” Rod told the crowd of about 50,000. “There’s an evil war going on in Ukraine. Russia has invaded Ukraine. This song is for Ukraine, for its soldiers. For [Volodymyr] Zelensky.”
“And whoever is next in the White House—don’t stop helping Ukraine,”

On social media Rod commented Friday night in Cleveland with Billy Joel will go down as one of the most memorable nights of my career…WOW, did we rock the place! It was a beautiful sunny evening with 50,000 fans dancing and singing, such a powerfully needed antidote to the troubled, divided world we live in. Billy and I sang ’Stay with Me‘ together. He was fantastic and I was ok too.’
Thank you Billy!
Thank you Cleveland!

This happened to be Celtic’s first-ever Champions League league phase match after the competition was completely revamped for the 2024/25 season onwards.

Rod also had his photo taken with fans in Murphy’s Basement Bar

And also met RTE broadcaster Miriam O’Callaghan who told her social media followers it was a ‘Fab night’

Loose Women
