Can You Help?

And while we are in Texas fellow fan Kimberly Danley needs some help. In 1997 she was lucky enough to be lifted on stage by one of Rod’s security at Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas.

Kimberly told SMILER this week “I danced a whole song with Rod. but I don’t have any pictures or videos unfortunately and would love to have a memento!! if any fellow fans have anything or any ideas how to go about getting a picture or video clip this would be so appreciated”.

Nashville Tennessee

On July 5th the tour was at Bridgetone Arena in Nashville and Nathan Falin-Dunlap was in attendance and did the following review for SMILER

Well what can I say about this show other than WOW!!
Rod doing the hits, it should just be called THE BEST OF THE VERY BEST…The voice that has been the soundtrack to my life and I know many, many others. I have heard a whole lot of negative feedback from people his voice is gone, he should retire blah blah blah!!
Let me just tell you the VOICE is there, as incredible as ever!! An absolute magical evening with my soul mate and my mother by my side!!

TO ADD SOME EXTRA ICING ON THE ALREADY INCREDIBLE CAKE… met some Rod roadies. Vicky Phillps Marrow AKA THE MAD HATTER.
The other is so famous in the Rod community she could probably go by one name like Cher, her name is Ruth!!
One of the best days ever!!!

P.P. Arnold who duetted with Rod on the 1967 Cynthia Weil/ Barry Mann track ‘Come Home Baby’ is doing the promotional rounds for her new autobiography ‘Soul Survivor’ Speaking to The Mirror this week about her past relationships she spoke of Mick Jagger, Jimi Hendrix and Steve Marriott being lovers, and she also duetted with Rod in more ways than one, she claims, but wasn’t so complimentary of him.

ā€œMe and Rod had a bit of a love-hate relationship,ā€ she said, pulling faces.

Bet this is a good read though!

In this documentary, Ronnie talks exclusively about his career in music and his life as a Rolling Stone, with its exhilarating highs and sometimes dangerous lows.

Through vivid archive footage, brilliant music and interviews with a stellar cast of musicians, the film reveals how he binds the band together through his musical virtuosity and his irresistible, positive personality.

Our photo of Ronnie was taken this week at The Rolling Stones Hyde Park concert by SMILER photographer Yve Paige.
