Anyone seen Joanne’s luggage?

Photo Glenna Heraly

Rod made a call for help on behalf of band member Joanne Harper taking to his Instagram page when Joanne was left distraught when the bag with her “whole life in there” vanished while she was flying with British Airways.

Joanne also posted: “Still no case, one minute it’s in Manchester, next it’s in London then in Dallas.. my whole life is in there @british_airways.”

Rod’s post said: “@british_airways please help my backing vocalist Joanne be reunited with her luggage,” as Joanne was later seen sharing Rod’s post too with a love heart emoji to signify her appreciation for the singer’s help to spread the word.

Wolfie’s USA

We have had loads of messages asking when our USA members can buy Wolfie’s Blended Whisky well it will be ready to ship to Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Washington DC, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming from August 31st to pre order yours go to

Rod told the Scottish Sun this week ā€œI’m not a whisky connoisseur.

ā€œI got very sick on it once when I was 15 and my dad gave me a smack around the head.

ā€œBut I do enjoy Wolfies. Perhaps it’s because it has a more feminine taste.

ā€œI also prefer it as a cocktail because neat whiskies are not great for my voice, but we had some great cocktails with it last night.ā€

Wolfie’s has been marketed as a ā€œrascal of a thingā€ in a nod to Rod’s wild partying in the Seventies.

But he says: ā€œI don’t have my photo on the bottle as I didn’t want it rammed down people’s throats that this is Rod’s whisky, just in case they’re like, ā€˜I hate his f***ing music — I’m not drinking that’.

ā€œI couldn’t imagine getting involved in something like Bacardi, it had to be Scotch whisky because of my dad and my love of Scotland and, of course, Celtic. So it was a no-brainer really.ā€

SMILER designer Tommy Kevitt made this brilliant video of our Logo and Wolfie’s together!

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Rod’s first official compilation album Sing It Again Rod Tim Jeffs has agreed to do another of his amazing sculptures for SMILER members.

The album is notable for its Peter Corriston-designed die-cut album sleeve shaped like an old fashioned drinking glass [Very apt at the moment!] and this will be acknowledged in the figure of Rod in all his Faces splendour from 1973.

Above is Tim’s first sketch and like last time he will photograph each stage of the project to keep everyone involved in the process

The project will be started in two weeks when Tim has completed his other commitments and when started, as each one is hand painted the most that can be done is five per week after they come out of the mould..But it will be worth the wait, like our last one was!
