Rod Covers Chaplin Classic

Rod has covered the Charlie Chaplin classic ‘Smile’ famously written for the film ‘Modern Times’. The track will appear on the sequel to ‘The Great American Songbook’ which is scheduled to be released later this year.

Chaplin was one of the most creative personalities in the silent film era. He directed, acted, and wrote his stories, and was even known to write his movie scores. ‘Smile’ is the best-known of several songs he composed and has been covered by numerous artists including Michael Jackson.

As previously reported, the new album will also feature Rod’s versions of ‘Stardust’, ‘As Time Goes By’ and ‘I Only Have Eyes for You’.
