New album TIME to be released May 6th.

Rod premiered his new single about divorce this morning on The Chris Evans show on BBC Radio 2.

‘It’s Over’ was played on the show and Rod spoke to Chris live on the programme to discuss his new song: “It’s about divorce. I wrote it for men and anyone that’s been involved in divorce”.

The lyrics of the single speak of marriage and relationship breakdown: “The congregation sang, we knelt and prayed, as we stood before God on that beautiful day…but here we are barely five years on and our whole world’s falling apart”.

The song also talks about the pain of divorce: “I don’t want our kids to suffer, can’t we talk to one another, you were once my wife my lover, it’s over.”

“It’s Over” will be featured on Rod’s forthcoming album Time, which is due to be released on 6th May.
