Rod has entered the US Billboard 200 at No. 7 with “Time” this week,making it his highest-charting studio album of original material since 1979, when “Blondes Have More Fun” stayed at number 1 for three weeks.
Rod has had nine albums that peaked higher than No. 7 but they consisted of live recordings, covers and the recent Christmas set.
She Makes Me Happy,” the lead single from “Time,” climbs 14-12 in its sixth week on Adult Contemporary. but “Can’t Stop Me Now” also from Time sold more than 10 times as many downloads (4,000) as “Happy” in the sales tracking week, “Time,” also debuted at number 4 in Canada and Germany. and “The Definitive Rod Stewart” is the number one album on the Billboard back catalogue chart.
